Spanish Fork Canyon

What a kid! Carston cracks me up. He is a strange child and doesn't show a lot of emotion but I tell you what, if he is doing something he shouldn't, this is the face we get. He has a mind of his own. We decided that we would head up the canyon for the night and make a dutch oven dinner and have a fire and hang out with the kids. I kept telling Carston to give me the cake mix for the cobbler and he would grab it, pull this face and run. We had fun throwing rocks in the river and hanging out. Grant made some really good pork chops and potatoes with zucchini. It was delicious! Then we made a really good peach cobbler. The kids really enjoyed it. I hope we can do it again really soon.

Island Park, ID

Every summer we go up to our family cabin in Island Park, ID. It is a very relaxing trip and a lot of fun. It's nice to not have to worry for a week and just hang out with the family. The kids love to play in the sand and in the lake. This year wasn't very relaxing for me because Carston is SO busy. Well, I know that it was on the fourth of July when we went but I wanted to post some pictures of our trip because of how pretty it is up there. It was also fun because the guys were catching fish like crazy this year!

I love Carston's face in this picture! I don't think he knows what to do with a fish as big as he is!

Can't forget roasting marshmellows (fartmellows if you are Mason!)
